About the event
Award-winning contemporary jazz trio Amphitrio comes to CANVAS as part of the Traces International Tour, bringing new music from the trio’s latest EP alongside pieces from Timelines and the rest of their catalogue.
Coming from Romania, Amphitrio moves between contemporary European jazz, Nordic atmospheres, Balkan rhythmic influences and electro-groove, with improvisation and interaction always at the centre of the music. Their latest album, Timelines (2024), was awarded Album of the Year by Radio România Cultural.
This will be our first time playing in Dundee, and the beginning of a long month on the road through the UK.
